Troop 671 tries to send at lease two crews on one high adventure experience each year. Crews consist of up to ten Scouts and leaders. Challenge yourself at the BSA High Adventure Base Camps. From the aquatic adventures of Florida Sea Base, to the canoeing or winter camping challenge of Northern Tier, the backpacking expeditions at Philmont Scout Ranch and the adventure sports programs at The Summit Bechtel Reserve, these experiences will shape you and teach you about yourself.
Age requirements for High Adventure Camps:
Philmont Scout Ranch: A youth must be 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade by date of participation.
Northern Tier: All participants must be age 14 by the time they arrive at Northern Tier OR have graduated from the 8th grade and be age 13 by the time they arrive.
Sea Base: 13 years of age and graduated or graduating from the 8th grade in the season of their arrival or 14 years of age by September 1 of the year they attend.
The Summit : is open to registered Scouts and Venturers who are at least 13 years old by September 1 of the year they attend.
